This message shows that following Jesus is not theory. It is movement. Jesus did not only call people to believe. He called them to participate. He taught the kingdom of God, He trusted scripture, He corrected misuse of scripture, He carried the cost of obedience, and He lived a life centered on love. We are invited into the same pattern. To follow Jesus is to shape our lives around His priorities. His values become our values. His mission becomes our mission. We stand on His word, we surrender our preferences, and we serve people with compassion. Jesus says that those who believe in Him will do the same works He did and even greater. We do not imitate Him with bracelets or slogans. We imitate Him with our choices. Real discipleship is simple. Be with Jesus. Become like Jesus. Do what Jesus did.
